Purchaser

As Purchaser, you will be responsible for the complete handling of the entire purchasing process for the companies within the KGS Group in Elburg.

The position

As a Purchaser, you play a key role within our technical organization. You will be responsible for purchasing and ordering items, creating, processing and checking purchase orders, and carefully managing master data in our ERP system (experience with Sage or similar packages is a plus). 

Main core tasks:

• Guarantee continuity in the production process by targeted and professional purchasing;
• Reduce strategic vulnerability within the chain;
• Reduce procurement-related costs and improve delivery reliability.

You analyze data, select suppliers and optimize procurement processes. In cooperation with QHSE and production you handle complaints and delivery issues. You interact with various internal stakeholders and suppliers, with the aim of achieving and continuously improving a reliable and efficient procurement process.

Your duties include:

• Ensuring correct and efficient inventory management;
• Taking responsibility for the entire procurement process;
• Maintaining contacts with existing and potential suppliers;
• Correct and timely handling of complaints in consultation with relevant departments;
• Ensuring accurate communication towards internal stakeholders;
• Initiating improvement proposals within operational procurement processes.

Your profile

We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Purchaser with good analytical skills and a strong affinity for technology. You are decisive, communicative and think in solutions. You keep the overview in complex situations and are able to make independent decisions within your responsibilities. 

In addition, you possess:

• Nevi 1 with MBO+ or HBO working and thinking level, through education or work experience;
• Experience in a similar position within a production environment;
• Experience with ERP systems (knowledge of Sage, Dynamics, Sap, Exact or similar is an advantage);
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, German language is an advantage;
• Technical insight and a natural interest in production processes and materials;
• The ambition to actively contribute to the professionalization of the department and to grow within the purchasing field.
