PROCESS ENGINEER M/V

Do you have a passion for process optimization and technical innovation? As a Process Engineer at KGS DIAMOND, you will be the linchpin in improving production processes, machines and installations. You will work from concept to implementation and will be a real troubleshooter within our team.

Objective

Project management, continuous improvement, and innovation are what you will be doing as a Process Engineer at KGS DIAMOND. You will play a pivotal role in improving production processes, machines, and installations. From concept to implementation, you will be the technical driving force behind projects and the troubleshooter within KGS DIAMOND's production and innovation departments.

The role

KGS DIAMOND produces a wide range of flexible diamond tools. The manufacture of these tools involves the following steps: electroplating, lamination, and conversion. These processes are partly automated and partly carried out manually. As a Process Engineer at KGS DIAMOND, you will be responsible for initiating and supervising projects and working with colleagues to optimize processes, machines, and products. You will be part of the Technical Team and will work closely with colleagues from R&D, production, and technical services. You will report to the managing director. Your other responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing new machines, installations, and working methods;
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks based on data analysis and process research;
• Supervising technical innovations in collaboration with R&D and production;
• Drawing up improvement proposals, substantiating investments, and reporting to management;
• Coordinating improvement projects with suppliers and internal teams.

KGS DIAMOND is working on several projects and has various projects in the pipeline, which you will be responsible for managing. You will set the priorities and can make your mark on the implementation and results.

Your profile

You are analytically strong, take ownership of your projects, and know how to get others on board with your plans and their implementation. You switch easily between departments and enjoy a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same. You preferably have several years of experience as a Process Engineer within the industry and are ready for more responsibility and project management. You also have:

• HBO working and thinking level (preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Technology, or Industrial Engineering);
• Knowledge of Lean, 5S, PDCA, FMEA, Fusion360, and machine/instrument programming;
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English.

• Salary between €3,500 and €6,000 gross per month (depending on experience);
• 25 vacation days + option to purchase 13 extra days per year;

• Pension plan (with KGS paying 2/3 of the premium).
